Youth Ministries
Before and After School Program
The After School Program was started because of a need in the borough to provide after school care and tutoring to students. Once organized there was a realization that before school care was also needed for families who needed to be at work early in the morning. Currently we have 10 enrolled in our before school program and about 25 enrolled in our after school program. In the after school program the leaders meet the students at the school and walk them to the program. The children are given a snack and then given time to play before we engage in home work. The kindergarten is housed in the church and 1st grade thru 5th grade are in the ministry center. We are open from 7am til 8:30 am and then again from 3pm until 6pm. At any given day there are 5-7 staff workers including the director. We are a state licensed program. New enrollments are welcome at any time. Cadets
Cadets is a ministry for boys from 1st thru 8th grade that meets the first, third and fifth Mondays from September through May. Some of the activities Cadets participate in are: crafts, Bible lessons, merit badge work, Pinewood Derby races, outdoor activities, overnight trips and camping. The boys are led in these activities by several men who serve as Cadet counselors. Meetings are from 7-8:30 pm in the church fellowship hall.
Youth Group
Youth group is for 6th – 12th graders. We meet on Sundays at 6pm (September – May) at our Youth lounge in the TV room of the church. Our meetings begin at 6 pm and end at 8 pm. During our meetings we eat snacks, sing songs and hear a lesson from the leaders. We have large and small group discussions, perform skits, create posters and pray together. We also have activities several times throughout the year on a night other than Sunday. We go mini-golfing, ride go carts, take some swings at batting cages, have game nights, go bowling and much, much more! A Youth Group meeting is a comfortable, fun environment in which we learn more about God and all of the wonderful things He has done. Come out and join us and bring a friend.
Kingdom Kids
Kingdom Kids meets during the worship service. Children are excused during the service and led downstairs for their own worship time which includes singing, crafts and their own lesson on that mornings sermon.
Sunday School
Sunday School is offered for children in grades K – 6 after the morning worship service from 11:30 am – 12:15 pm during the school year. Children meet in the TV room and after singing have a Bible lesson, craft and snack all supervised by our loving and caring teachers. The children also prepare an annual Christmas program and occasionally sing for worship.
